About the project
Construction works were started in the former territory of the Šv. Jokūbo Hospital complex.
According to the signed cooperation agreement between Naresta and investment management company Lords LB Asset Management company Orkela, two A+ energy efficiency class 17.6 thousand sq. meters hotel buildings with a conference centre for 500 visitors and a spacious underground parking lot will be built in the historical Vilnius. Existing hospital buildings will be reconstructed and connected with the purpose of adapting to educational activities. The end of the project, symbolically called “February 16 complex”, is planned for 2025.
In addition to upgrading the historic site of Vilnius, according to the project’s authors, DO architects, a greener and more attractive environment for the complex will be created, which will be accessed by pathways from Lukiškių Square and Vasario 16-osios Street. From the side of A. Goštauto Street, a new street square of the city will be created — Vienuolio keltininko skverelis.
