Aurimas Bičiūnas, an expert in finance and corporate governance, will start the position of CFO of Naresta in April. According to the company’s CEO Tadas Grincevičius, the next three years will be exceptional for the construction sector, so sustainable business financial management will become a top priority.
“By observing ongoing and planned tenders for defence infrastructure and facilities, we can forecast that between 2026 and 2028, our sector will receive approximately €1 billion in additional investment each year. This indicates that construction activity — and the sector as a whole — is expected to experience a temporary and relatively short-term increase. It is essential that we manage this growth in a sustainable manner.
Therefore, I am incredibly pleased that the experienced team of professionals at Naresta is joined by a long-standing financial expert, who has accumulated knowledge in international financial institutions, as well as in the fields of real estate development and investment,” says T. Grincevičius.
The new CFO of the company, A. Bičiūnas, previously held the position of Fund Manager at Demus Asset Management, a mutual fund management company, headed the private equity investment group Westerwijk Group and served on the Board of Directors of this group, and held various positions at SEB Bank.
“Over the past decade, I have been delving specifically into real estate sector financial management from various perspectives: from construction to long-term leasing, sales, and marketing. This area has its own specificity, particularly highlighted over the last five years due to various crises causing jumps in demand and supply, cracking supply chains. Today we are preparing for another major market change, so diverse experience is particularly important,” says A. Bičiūnas.
