A wreath is laid at the historic site of the Old Town of the capital 29/04/2025

A topping-out wreath has been raised above the new building complex “Sanguškų Park” that is currently under construction in Vilnius Old Town. It notes that the project has reached the highest point of its load-bearing structure.
“It is a unique experience to create a sustainable project in the Old Town, with different facades and different roof materials. We faced specific challenges, such as installing new electrical infrastructure or navigating an extremely large crane capable of lifting more than 500 tonnes in the small space of the site.
This project allows our team to combine three decades of experience working in historical locations with the most advanced engineering solutions — ensuring exceptional comfort for the future residents of these homes.
We highly value the developers’ conscious approach to construction in the Old Town of Vilnius. To preserve its uniqueness, we must ensure that new developments here reflect historical patterns,” says Tadas Grincevičius, CEO of Naresta, one of the largest construction companies in Lithuania.
“We see this project as an opportunity to restore the historical value of this old part of Vilnius city. For centuries, the lands managed by nobles and monasteries were desecrated by Soviet garages and warehouses until the beginning of construction. Today, through sustainable and long-lasting architecture and construction, we can honour the name of the noble Sanguškų family — it was they who first took care of this area back in the 17th century,” said Viktoras Zubrecovas, Deputy Director of RELEVEN, a project’s developer company.
HEIMA studio delivered a thoughtful and intricate architectural solution for the project — envisioning 55 apartments, each with a unique layout. Part of the apartments are equipped with 3 m high ceilings, while attic apartment ceilings and panoramic windows will reach up to 5.5 m.
The construction of “Sanguškų Park” is planned to be completed in the first half of the upcoming year. There will be 55 apartments ranging from 30 to 224 sq. m, including 11 leisure and 13 commercial spaces.
